Details
Ladybugs carry so much magic in their little body. In my case, and I know for many people, they have shown up in many moments out of nowhere as if they knew I was needing a mystical companion or answer. In their honor, I created these earrings which are crafted with mango pits. I painted the leaves with a combination of plants like tarragon, matcha and spirulina. The ladybugs are painted with beets and turmeric. And the lovely red drop is a rose hip reminding us of the good work they do as pollinators, although is uncommon to hear about it. As I am not wanting to use any epoxy resin or toxic gloss, I have polished them by hand with oils and wax until the color stayed.
